The House Feels Chilly….

… and these cool mornings tempt me to knit big cozy pieces, like Hagen,

DSCN1752

which I finished a couple of weeks ago.  Lightweight but cozy in Berroco’s Kodiak, it would feel great this morning. Knit on 10-1/2 needles, it didn’t take long at all (unlike Lange which is what I’m knitting now, on size 4 needles – feels endless at the moment.) It’s hanging in the shop, of course, so it’s not available to slip on, and that prompted me to look on Ravelry for some other yummy ideas.

Stephen West’s new Glam Lamb is hard to decipher from his irritating pictures, but looking just at this photo

makes me think this would knit in no time and make a nice wrappy thing.

Brooklyn Tweed’s Bellows is a gorgeous bulky cardigan loaded with texture that I would love to have for those country walks (that I only take in my mind – these reveries involve two very well-behaved dogs, crisp air, pine-y woods, and maybe a craggy woodsman in plaid flannel as well!)  Anyway, it’s a pretty sweater:

Lemon Grass by Joji Locatelli, Chloe by Amy Miller, Aral by Paulina Popiolek all have that easy oversized fit that would be so nice to pop on right now:

And these photos are from Pinterest, lovely big sweaters that kind of got on my nerves when I first looked at them in August – seemed too much, too oversized – but now, I want, want, want them:
