This week I want to catch up with customer projects. I’m not even discussing the weather, except to say that the phones are working again and despite some leaks we’re back to regular hours. I adamantly refuse to acknowledge any more weather predictions that involve the s-word.
So, on to happier thoughts – completed projects!
Donna’s granddaughter Emily was christened a couple of weeks ago, and guess who made the christening outfit? Look at this lovely ensemble, including the individually hand-sewn pearls and the beautiful little taffeta slip underneath:
Emily will never have a more beautiful dress until her wedding day!
Billie Beadle made a lovely warm vest for her husband from gray-blue Felted Tweed:
I caught Suzy Crump by surprise in her new Chambord sweater which fits like it was made for her. (It was!)
Mildred Heiser looks wonderful in her Porticus sweater, same color as her eyes:
Jill Pelchar made two of these cute felted handbags, with a compound button to accent it:
Najma Iqbal looks so good in rich colors, like those of her vest in Kudo:
Lory Fleischer made this cashmere sweater (yes you read it right!) for her little granddaughter, who loves all things soft and purple:
Nancy Baker made this very cute hat from a ball of good old Encore – looks great as a vase-warmer, too!
And David has been keeping busy test-knitting this gorgeous afghan – looks like a great pattern, all in one piece – and humongus – he couldn’t stop!
I just finished a sweet little summer sweater that seemed to take forever to knit, but didn’t. I don’t love knitting with summer yarns but I love wearing lightweight, floaty, cool little sweaters in the heat of the summer, so needs must! However, now I’m sailing through a lightweight wool sweater in a new yarn from Ella Rae called Classic Sport. A great yarn, pretty colors, and best of all, a really great price! Dig out and come in to see…
