Casapinka’s MKAL

Who doesn’t love Casapinka’s sense of humor? Her knits are always fun and colorful, her narratives for the designs are clever, and her comparisons of her cats with iconic office personalities are hilarious. This summer’s mystery knit-along is named Snark-O-Meter and it promises to be better than ever.

To get some insight into her aesthetic, check out last year’s knit-along called The Sharon Show. Karen made it and thoroughly enjoyed it, and came out with a beautiful wrap:

So what we know:

1. This year’s project will also be a long rectangular wrap.

2. The first clue will drop around mid-August.

3. Knitting level will be intermediate, with easier options for some sections, if her past projects are predictive.

4. We will have the most beautiful sets of colors ever, dyed specifically for this project by Dream In Color in their fabulous Smooshy with Cashmere.

I love every one of them! I’ve ordered a limited number of each set and you can reserve yours and your place in the KAL by calling (610-373-1622) or emailing (trish@yarngal.com). I’ll need name, phone # and your color preference: pink, teal, gray, or purple. We should have the yarn by the end of July – yay!

The best news is that we’ll be having in-person get-togethers to work on each clue! (This is the most exciting part for me.) I’d like Karen to be able to participate so I’d like the meetings to be either Wednesdays or Saturdays, late afternoon/early evening. If that doesn’t work for many people, though, we’ll also offer Sunday afternoons, probably 2 – 4 pm. Let me know what works for you.

One caveat: I’ll need to be sure you have been fully vaccinated if you wish to attend the sessions. I hate to be a policeman, but I’ll need to see your vaccination card to sign you up. I want everyone to feel safe and be able to shed your masks (if you want to) while you’re in the store.

It’s going to be fun – and the best part is we’ll really be doing it together!

I stole this from Karen so I could leave you with a good laugh today:
