And Down the Rabbit Hole We Go…

Yup, I started Glow. I don’t think anyone is surprised, right? Now, when this tiny little square will reach huge shawl proportions is anyone’s guess, but I’m making progress:

That’s after the first color transition. Three more colors to go to reach this:

I expect it will be sometime in 2021, because I know that all good things are just waiting until this horrible year ends! Anyway, I’m enjoying it very much. It’s an easy thing to do, so I can listen to podcasts and browse Ravelry and so on without losing track of where I am, and let my mind wander around contemplating some new house patterns for smaller projects.

But, before I embarked on this huge shawl, I finished Spencer! It’s a super-cute jacket. The deep garter stitch borders and collar take a long time to knit, but the finished jacket makes it all worthwhile, don’t you think?

I love it! And I’ve finished writing the modifications to make it in one piece. If you’d like to make it, come in by mid-August to choose your favorite colorway. BTW, it would also be beautiful in Noro’s Tsubame, many colors of which are in stock now.

Sometime in the next couple of weeks, I’ll be trying to make good decisions about a number of things. Whether to start regular store hours again, whether we can safely have classes, whether I can add new stock to our shelves — all these things depend on our fellow humans adhering to guidelines and helping to keep the virus under control here. So we’ll see what we can see, and go from there.

Meanwhile, thanks for your patience and support. Appointments are a pain for everyone, but I hope it helps us all stay well!
