We love, love, love new projects, right? One reason I like to do small projects is that – boom! – they’re done, and that’s pretty much fun – and then I get to start something else – which is even more fun! I love to make and wear sweaters but right now I’m bingeing on little things, inspired by some of our new yarns.
I showed you this hat and cowl set last week
I wanted to use one of our new colors of Stargazer Brushed
and chose the lavender.
The floral motif is fun to do, the ribbing is pretty, and I got this set out of one ball! (My hat is a few rounds shorter than the pattern calls for but still tall enough for a bit of slouch.) This is a stellar gift at a great price.
Here is a hint of the new project I’ve embarked on, just this morning:
Of course I love it so far, the yarn is luscious and a perfect fit for the project and I can’t wait to be able to show it to you. Stay tuned. I don’t know how far I’ll get this week because I have company coming, but we’ll see!
We also received our supply of Cashmere Light, an amazingly soft yarn that is – yes – a bit expensive, but goes so much further than most cashmere yarns that you really could consider it a bargain.
The color at the top left is a really deep forest green – very, very rich, and new this year, along with the pretty pink. We have a couple of ideas for one-ball projects that make outstanding gifts and will absolutely be appreciated and loved.
The cowl is a free shop pattern and is the softest thing your neck will ever experience, including cuddly puppies and babies!
New things coming every day – stop in to see!
