We received our Dream in Color shipment last week, which you know if you follow us on Facebook. Lovely stuff! Everlasting DK in these good sweatery colors:
and Jilly in these simply gorgeous multis:
A few of these colors are already sold out, but there are still beautiful choices for your fall knitting.
Swans Island organic merino fingering also arrived. Soft, soft wool in beautiful natural dyes, so subtle and so wonderful to handle.
I have a yen to design this sweater:
in Swans Island. Don’t know where I’ll find the time, but I like the simple blousy style. What do you think? I need the six-foot legs to go with it, too; does Amazon sell them by any chance?
I’m making progress with Aperture now that it has recovered from its encounter with Purl’s upset tummy. After knitting approximately 2 acres of stockinette on size 4 needles, and edging those 2 acres with about 6 or 7 miles of I-cord, I blocked it this morning.
When it’s dry, I get to knit the asymmetrical collar (on size 1 needles!). Goodness, I hope I love this jacket when it’s done. More to the point, I hope you all love it!
Have you seen the big oversized sweaters that all the fashion houses are showing for fall? Have you found any favorite patterns for that look yet? I’m searching – even being huge they would take far less time than Aperture!
