New Yarn!

Look at the pretty stuff we got last week:

This is Ella Rae Lace Merino Chunky, yummy extra fine merino in a chunky weight, hand-dyed to the stitch.  Very, very nice, and I can say that with authority because I just this minute finished a pretty little jacket in it.  I’ll show you a photo next week, after blocking:

Just look at those gorgeous colors!

And we also received this lovely stuff, Luxury Angora Merino, another hand-dyed beauty in (obviously angora and merino.  I haven’t decided what to make with this yet, but I can tell you it feels scrumptious,, definitely next to the skin material:

Here’s a closeup:

Mm, mm, mmmm!

We also received beautiful heathered colors of Ella Rae Superwash Worsted, a pretty and practical wool yarn for all sweaters and accessories, as well as beautiful colors of Road to China Light, which had been back-ordered for months. Sorry, I forgot pictures – trust me, they’re gorgeous.

Jettie Hunt popped in for a little yarn and was sweet enough to model “Beaubourg” which I just finished in Manos’ Maxima, soft, supple, and subtle merino.  This is a sweater to wear when you want to relax, but with a little sophistication.  My Maxima shipment will be here early – mid-September.

Patty Golembiewski just had to bring in her new Danskos – sorry for the blur, but check out these pretty stockinette clogs:

Carolyn Harris brought in her Queen Ann’s Lace Scarf, done in Seduce.  It is so delicate and feminine, just perfect:

This is a little gansey sweater I made from Cascade’s 220 Superwash Sport, a nice washable wool, very soft and smooth, lovely to work with.  This size is for a 1 – 2 year old.

Jill Pelcher is about to make the gansey for one of her grands (it’s unisex, but she chose a bright pink, so I think it’s for one of the girls, yes?) because she has already made a super-cute poncho for each of them.  Here’s the latest:

Karen Wenrich brought a gaggle of Baby Surprises, using up leftovers from other projects. Finding the perfect button for each was fun:

And I finished my niece’s Lightweight Pullover in Serena.  Since it’s a gift, it won’t be coming to the shop, but we’re close to the same size, so I modeled it. She’ll look great in this color.

This week, I swear, I will nail down the fall class schedule, come hell, high water, or new yarn!  Meanwhile, enjoy this cute video that one of Janet’s friends sent to her:

Cast on, Baby!

Hey, it’s almost fall, get ready to cast on!

See you soon…
