I’ve been on the computer way too much this weekend – you saw that classes for fall are up? That was all day Sunday. Yesterday, after seeing a sales rep at the store (ordered way, way, way too much Dream in Color) and getting the signup book organized, there was the regular “paper”work to be done. So it’s fortunate that I don’t have to get creative for this post because there are many gorgeous projects for you to look at!
First, though, I want to show “Stimulus Package” from Liz Unger at Dyelot Yarns. Love that name; these yarns will definitely stimulate your creativity:
These “packages” contain 700 yds of lightweight yarns that are dyed to match/coordinate. There is fingering-weight wool, laceweight mohair, and a lightweight boucle. Donna snagged the top colorway to make an Eyelet Shawl, a simple project that lets the beauty of the yarns shine. We have color cards for all available colorways and will take orders for your favorite!
Janet just finished her Featherweight Jacket in Madelinetosh Merino Light. It’s absolutely gorgeous, fits her perfectly, a lovely job of knitting. She added seed stitch at the borders, which sets it off beautifully:
(I’m not allowed to tell you that she made me cut off her head. She’s still getting used to her new haircut, which looks perfectly adorable.) Here is a detail of the eyelets down the back, a really nice touch:
Marci Frey is so sweet and let me take her picture (with head!) while she tried on our Allspice sweater (one of our fall classes). Such a fun and quick project, with nice shaping and details and Soufflé is a lovely yarn to work with:

Danielle Smith finished her Ecuador Cardigan in this gorgeous shade of Everlasting Sock from Dream in Color, a shade that really sets off her dramatic coloring. It looks great on her, the fit and style are perfect!
Love how this looks from the back, too:

Nadine Lyon is working on this pretty afghan in a bunch of different yarns, some held together, some on their own. She’s using up stash, and we found several coordinating yarns that add texture and color to the project. Love it!
I finished this little jacket in under a week – what fun it was to make, something going on all the time. Done in Ella Rae Lace Merino Chunky, it just flowed from my needles. Clever shoulder construction and no seams at all make a very flexible and comfortable garment – many different people tried it on to find that the fit was good and all they needed was extra length. The photo, while not the best, shows the nice shoulder shaping, the slip-stitch detail at the waist and the very stylish peplum. Can’t wait to wear it this fall!
Okay, that’s it! We’ll be closed Saturday through Tuesday this coming weekend. If I don’t see you before then, enjoy Labor Day weekend!
Trish
