…obviously, I need a lot more practice taking pictures with the iPad. So I’ll just say I’m sorry right away and that will be it. At least there are pictures, and the inanimate objects are a little easier than the ones that move around:
Here is a gorgeous purple cowl that Deb Schlarb whipped up, positioned beside the one Janet did, from the Knitscene Accessories magazine, both done in Cloud, yummy wool-alpaca blend:
I’m seeing the sales rep from Cascade (who makes Cloud and EcoCloud) today – can’t wait to see what’s new.
Continuing with the green & purple theme (oh, didn’t you get the memo?), here is a gorgeous sock, done by Karla Renninger, who makes the most fun and intricate sock patterns she can find:
We received some fun little kits from Mountain Colors last week that Janet whipped up in a flash! Look at these pretty mitts, made from Twizzle (soft silk/wool blend) and a lovely bouclé for the cuffs:
and this gorgeous scarf, made from several colors of Merino Ribbon:
The kits come with plenty of the different yarns and the pattern – great for getting started on presents, or just terrific, manageable summer projects.
Janice Bieber finished this beautiful tee in a great coral shade of Ultra Pima cotton:
and Donna Hain made two of these pretty beaded shawls, then wanted to add some length and found a perfect coordinating yarn for a border. I love it!
Great job, everyone! I swear I too have been knitting, just not getting good pictures of anything. I’ll try harder. I just finished Larch in Lang Donegal, a beautiful Irish tweed. Here is the best photo I could get, which shows the (hours and hours of) twisted rib shawl collar and the gorgeous colors in the tweed:
Ack, I know, how could I subject you to this??
Anyway, get ready, Madelinetosh will be delivered on Wednesday – lots of merino worsted and merino light coming in. Can’t wait to see what to make with it!
Visit soon!
