I’ve been having a marvelous time playing with some new yarns that Berroco is introducing for fall. They sent a package of pretty things for me to swatch, and I love them to pieces.
I’m hoping to give you the opportunity to “taste” these pretty yarns soon – stay tuned. Whatever we cook up, space will be limited and safety will be first on our list.
For now, I want to show off projects from our wonderful knitters and crocheters!
This first photo makes me smile. Lenore Peloso and Melissa Korth took my Hard Cider class and happened to come in with their finished sweaters on the same morning. Beautiful! And the sweaters are pretty, too.
Remember when we could hug?
Becky DeSanti also made Hard Cider with us, just before she moved back to her hometown. We’ll miss her! She’s a great knitter and creative, too. She added the lace motif to her sleeves, and it really adds a nice touch.
And here’s another pretty top from Becky, in Eco-Organic Cotton’s new multi print.
Ruth Noonan took Karen’s Rainier class. I love her color choice; it’s perfect for her!
And Jettie Hunt also looks great in her Rainier, in a beautiful reverse color way.
I completely forget the name of this pattern that Anne Alderman made, but the color and style suit her perfectly.
Lorraine Houseman crochets beautiful things, and usually puts her own twist on them. This pretty cardigan is done in Noro’s Tennen.
And she designed (!) this jacket in a lovely shade of Moonshine.
Janice Bieber made the Essential Sweater Dress, and came in with the perfect accessories, of course!!
Paula Bub loves, loves, loves Manos’ Maxima yarn. Her third(?) sweater in it turned out great!
And I have to show you Amy Wall’s grand-daughter, in a sweater Amy made this winter and then a poncho made this spring. What a difference a few months make with these little ones. Adorable!!
Thanks so much to everyone who comes in to show their projects or sends photos. It does everyone good to remember that there are many of us knitting away in isolation. It’s a comfort, a meditation, and an escape from the angst of these times.
Stay safe, stay well, we miss you!
