I just can’t believe how many beautiful things you all have made over the spring and summer! I’m going to show you more wonderful finished projects but first, I want to tempt you wit more yarn for your future accomplishments!
Here’s what came in this past week (and I admit, I totally overdid the amount of yarn I ordered from Manos del Uruguay…)
Fabulous colors of Alegria, one of our favorite hand-dyed fingering-weight yarns:

Sure, make socks if you want to, but this yarn is wonderful for shawls and sweaters – soft and strong and beautifully dyed. Mary Ellen Leidy is going to combine a multi and a semi-solid to make this pretty sweater:

…and of course, now I want one, too.
We got a ton of Maxima, a wonderfully soft 100% extra-fine merino that is so cushy and lovely to knit and even lovelier to wear:

I am so into greens this fall that I immediately wound three colors to make Interlude, a worsted-weight shawl that Karen knit in blues last season, and I’ve admired it ever since:

And I bought every color of Fino Mini-Skein that they make. These little skeins have around 90-95 yards of lovely wool/silk Fino, so you can choose the exact colors you want to include in your project, and if you have some leftovers of fingering at home, you can fill out with the little beauties here:

Just look at those colors! Karen cleverly arranged them into warm & cool, so pretty. I have an idea of what I’d like to make with these but I need to do a little more research before I know if it will work.
Yum, yum, yum!! Okay, yarn frenzy over, now I can get back to finished projects.
Anne Alderman has been busy this summer and made many beautiful projects:

Great work!!
Becky Steltz finished this pretty vest. Yes, she’s tall and thin enough to wear this; I try not to turn green with envy!

Carol Whitcraft made two of these adorable unicorn sweaters for her great-grands:

Deb Hawk finished her Aileas cardigan:

and is showing the adorable multi-colored collar lining – oh, I loved this project!

And here is her “Spotted Lanternfly” (her description, not mine!) Slip-Knit-Love Shawl:

It’s beautiful, does not look at all like the lanternflies that are all over Penn Avenue (alive and dead – I think they had a lanternfly-stomping contest at the Fall Fest!)
Speaking of Slip Knit Love, here is Melissa Korth’s pretty finished shawl:

Janice Bieber always chooses creative projects, and I love these:

Debbie Andrews finished her pretty-in-pink Basic Pullover:

Kathie Holm made these two gorgeous baby blankets, true heirlooms!

Martha Van Kouwenberg made this little scarflet in our Oddments series:

And last, but certainly not least, Sandy Albert made this lovely Aileas cardigan:

I don’t know what to say, folks, except great jobs. You should be so proud of your skills!!
