…and things are looking up! The weather has not been terrible, the virus is settling down, for the moment anyway, and yes, the price of a pot roast is ridiculous, but we (and the world) would all benefit from eating less meat and more vegetables, right? At least that’s what we’ve been told since the beginning of the food pyramid, not that we listen. Here’s an old pyramid that I’m quite fond of:
because I would love to have the base of my personal food pyramid be lots of pretzels, croissants and challah, along with whatever is in that cute little pot.
So anyway, the point is…well, I don’t seem to have a point, just that things might be getting better in general, even though slowly. Or maybe it’s just that it’s a beautiful sunny winter day with leftover snow prettily perching on tree branches and bushes but not in any way hindering our ability to go somewhere.
I suppose I should talk a little about knitting? Our Topolino sweater class is almost done, with everyone making good progress. Mine is finished and I love it in this gorgeous shade of Sonata, still my favorite spring/summer yarn:

And the simple well-fitting neckline and little shoulder detail:
It’s a wonderful spring design, and I hope to bring you pictures of others’ finished sweaters soon!
We’re already beginning to think about spring classes. Lacy shawls, small projects like fingerless mitts and socks using magic loop, and an adorable summer tee with just a bit of lace to keep things interesting are all on the table, as well as a lightweight cardigan that will take us into cooler fall weather. Stay tuned for more details as March approaches, and let us know of your own great ideas!
