Strictly F/O’s II

Before I show you some wonderful projects, I want to let everyone know that Donna’s first grandchild, Emily Jean, was born on September 1, weighing 6 lb. 13 oz.  Everyone is doing well, and I’m sure she’s already wrapped up in handknits!  And Emily, I promise, that’s the last time I’ll publish your weight!

I have quite a backlog of beautiful projects to show you:

First, Rhonda Dobbins brought in her finished Sunflower afghan to show us, along with the blue ribbon she won for it at the Reading Fair.  It’s absolutely awe-inspiring!  She made it in Encore, working the panels in Tunisian crochet, then she cross-stitched the design according to a very complex chart.  This pattern is very old, and still very beautiful.  Congratulations, Rhonda!

Lenore Peloso made this pretty Color Affection shawl for her sister, in complementary shades of Ella Rae Lace Merino:

Rochelle Mann knit this to order for her granddaughter in Ranco wool/nylon blend.  Very straightforward, with lots of stockinette, a bit oversized with slim sleeves.  Very modern!

Becky Steltz (left, below) made this complicated afghan as a wedding present – I love the pretty border she added.  She’s on to the next one, also a wedding present!

Beth Blair made her Katy-Did-It pullover in bright shades of blue Sol Degradé, finishing it with enough time to wear it this season:

Virginia Griffith used Debbie Bliss Pure Silk from her stash to make this lacy summer top.  It feels like butter against your skin, and coordinates perfectly with her capris.

Thanks, everyone, for bringing in your Finished Objects and enduring my excruciating photography.  I love bragging on you!
