It seems that, recently, every time I write a post, I have something difficult to say. I hope this stops soon, but today I have to tell you that Purl is gone. I had Lap of Love come to the house and put her to sleep last week. It was a terribly hard decision to make, but it was mine to make and I did it. In my mind, when you take on a pet, you owe them two things: a good life and a good death. Purl had both. Her life was rich with love and friends who paid her attention and gave her treats and pets, and her death was pain- and fear-free. I miss her every moment, and that’s all I can say about it just now.
I’m trying to keep my head up and take care of bills, taxes, reporting, and so on. Meanwhile, the store is brimming with new yarns for spring and summer, I’m writing a pattern for a very cute and simple tee, and we’re working on a new class schedule. If no new heartbreaking disaster strikes, I’ll write again soon.
