It’s been a long time since my last post – sorry for that, but you know how busy fall can be. But I have lots to tell you!
First, look at Deb’s cute Weekender Crew:
This is a simple and wearable design, but what makes it are the subtle details: a center slip stitch to elongate, ribbing at the shoulders, and reverse stockinette for texture, plus optional pockets. The class starts October 19, and there are one or two spaces left, so don’t miss the chance to make this classic.
Along with lots and lots (and lots!) of other yarn, we received the latest Pop-Up Club color from Dream in Color in Smooshy Cashmere:
I adore this colorway and have been having so much fun playing with combinations:
Any of these combos would make a great easy-peasy scarf or a Therapy shawl. In fact, our dear friend Jettie Hunt was visiting this week from South Carolina and bought one of the combinations for Albuquerque Sunset, another beautiful two-color shawl.
And this week we’re due to receive Frabjous Fibers’ fun Halloween Advent kit based on the game of Clue:
Couldn’t resist, being a true mystery fan, and a true yarn advent calendar fan! Come get yours!
We also got an insane restock of Encore…
…don’t worry, it’s all put away now, ready for all your baby blanket/afghan desires. And a lovely bunch of Worsted Merino Superwash arrived, everyone’s favorite superwash merino, which, BTW, has not had a price increase in over five years. It’s a wonderful yarn at a very good price!!
Karen won’t be in this week – the lucky girl is attending a week-long spinning workshop – so if you come by Wednesday p.m. and the door is locked, I’ll be back in a few minutes – Purl is going to need a walk somewhere in that span of time.
I’m going to post this so I can get on with some bookkeeping – yuck, but needs must. Happy fall!!
