Well, I’m committed to writing this post but frankly, after spending my morning cleaning up a near-fatal accident, I’m not sure I can be too cheerful. The “accident” was Purl’s, but the near-fatality was my upstairs hallway carpet. Extreme measures were taken but the prognosis is still in question. And I’m not speaking to Purl.
So let’s talk about happier things! Yarn, knitting, classes – all lovely stuff to think about instead of – well, you dog owners know. The shop has been busy! People are signing up for or starting their new classes, finishing up projects so they can get started on something new, or just getting the knitting bug back and wanting to jump back into something they love. It’s great, and since we have a second pandemic winter to get through, let’s all have wonderful projects we can turn to when we need something soft, colorful, and interesting in our hands.
I raved on about our Manos shipment the other day, and I’m still not over it. I had some time to myself at the shop the other day and started messing about with color combinations:
I could go on…
…and so I did. Such luscious combinations, and I of course had to find a few good patterns that would be appropriate:
Joji Locatelli’s Linen Summer Shawl:
Andrea Mowry’s Free Your Fade:
Isabell Kraemer’s A Girl’s Best Friend:
(Possibly without the pompoms?)
Casapinka’s Magical Thinking:
Suvi Simola’s Suburban Sunrise:
And so many, many more ideas! Not to mention all the lovely 2-color shawls and combinations. But enough is enough! Come in and we’ll help you find your own perfect color bouquet.
Okay, I’m still feeling frosty toward The Dog, but I think I can stand to take her for a walk, which always makes both of us feel better. Let’s all go outside and take a walk!
