Sorry it’s been such a long time since I posted! Between Purl’s surgery and recuperation and the drops – oh, the drops! – and the collar (my poor furniture) and my own health being a little up and down just recently, and finishing up taxes and on and on… anyway, and (as you can deduce from that list) I’ve had nothing interesting to say!
Purl’s surgery went well and she’s recovering and I hope that the collar comes off tomorrow after her next followup appointment. I can’t say that it did much to improve her vision, but maybe a bit, hard to tell how much until the funnel is off her head. I believe she’s quite tired of the thing; she looks a bit grumpy:
Here’s my Western Rose completed:
Very happy with the way it worked up, and the yarn is really lovely to work with and to wear. There’s another sweater in the offing in that yarn, for sure. My only problem with the whole project is that since it’s bottom-up, with the sleeves worked first (which I loved), it’s hard to judge sleeve length. But overall the pattern is great and it’s done!
Two days later:
Purl had her followup with the vet and the collar is off. She hasn’t regained a lot of sight but I would say there’s some improvement, and any sight is better than none, so we’re happy with that!
