…the UPS guy delivers 16 gorgeous colors of Rowan Felted Tweed to your door? Well, since I seem to be in a mode where decisions about knitting are impossible right now, this happens:

stayed on the floor for days while I re-arranged colors, obsessed over my Ravelry favorites, wondered how I could use 6 or 7 colors in one project because I couldn’t choose just one or two. Finally, knowing how ridiculous I was being, I picked the simplest project in the world, a color block shawl in garter stitch, and went for it. It’s easy knitting, thoroughly enjoyable, and the three colors I finally settled on will be wonderful together. About half-way through:
and thanks to Robin Lapi and her daughter (who is just learning to knit) for the (free!) pattern idea. Everything doesn’t have to be complex; simplicity can be beautiful in itself.
