New Della Q bags! It has been a while since I ordered from Della, but I just fell in love with these sweet bags. The exterior material is printed cotton, one in bright happy colors with navy trim, and the other in sophisticated black and white. The trim and interiors are in slick and sturdy synthetics that withstand needle pokes and make it easy to pull your yarn or project out.

The bigger Yarn Caddy is a good usable size, not too huge, just right for a sweater project, and it stands up on its own. The smaller Etta Cinch Bag is brilliantly designed. It opens out flat so you can see everything, or open it just enough to use it as a basket. There is an exterior pocket, and two interior pockets, one that zips. Pull the drawstring and it closes up tightly. Snap the outer flap to carry it safely, and the handle is long enough to go over a purse’s strap. I love it!

Here’s another way to organize your projects, from My Baggee:

These useful mesh bags will keep your projects safe and accessible, and they come with a detachable handle that makes the whole package portable! The little dual zippered accessory cases come with magnets that hold them together and also attract those metal yarn needles and scissors to keep them handy.
I finished my Soulwarmer Cowl and love the way it turned out. Five Fino mini-skeins had more than enough yardage to do the cowl and mix the colors nicely. It’s a pretty accessory – lightweight, soft and warm – and so fun and interesting to make, never a dull moment!

Skye is a new Berroco yarn that feels and looks like luxury, without a luxurious price. A beautiful soft sport-weight blend of wool, rayon, yak, and nylon, it shines, drapes, and warms all at once. The colors are rich, deepened by the lovely dark haze of yak:

Berroco sent us this pretty poncho/capelet, called Oakham:

I love it, and I warn you that if you try it on, you’ll love it too! I’m yearning to knit with Skye but obviously don’t need to knit the poncho. So Lenore Peloso wore a very pretty cowl to class on Sunday, called Clementine, and everyone loved it. She used two self-striping and contrasting colors to make the cowl, and I decided to use a color of Edition 3 (an extra-fine merino that changes its subtle and marled colors) and a color of Skye together… the only problem being, of course, which combination to choose???
