Summer’s A-Comin’…

…even though it doesn’t feel like it today. From the point of view of the sales rep I saw this morning, it was a good day to show me his winter line.  I bought way too much (no surprise there), but honestly, all the yarns were mouth-watering: pretty, pretty things from Gedifra and Katia, a lovely new llama from Juniper Moon (as well as new and beautiful colors of Moonshine), new colors of Noro’s Tennen, and all the new colors of Katia’s Cotton Merino plus a couple of crazy things that are a bit outside my box, but will be fun and different.  You’re going to just love them; I can’t wait for fall!

However, here comes summer and it will get very hot before it gets cool, and we need some super lightweight things to wear for the next several months.  I finished the Katy-Did-It pullover that I showed the beginnings of last week.  It’s very cute, very cool to wear over a tank, and very summery:

We have these pretty colors in stock now:

That was fun…

…and now I’m back to my eternal dress/tunic project.  Here’s where I am:

Very shortly, I’m going to be able to a terribly exciting row of cables, which will draw in the front just a little under the bust.  Then it’s straight stockinette in the round, perhaps with a few side increases, for the rest of my life.  Of course, I’m going to need something interesting to knit in between, and these lacy things are tempting this time of year:

Refined Arches: (which I made last year)

Cullum:

Mira:

Tegna:

Trapezoid Tee:

BUT today I’m swatching Bennett Creek in Noro’s Sonata in this pretty weathered blue:

A few colors of Happy Feet Splash popped in the door, in case you need some inspiration:

And a reminder – the store will closed for 10 days starting this coming Saturday, when Art on the Avenue will be happening on Penn Avenue.

Scheduled classes will happen as planned.  Happy June!!
