Things to Do Today

1 Posted by - May 21, 2018 - Classes, Knitting, New Projects, Sweaters
  1. Wash 3 more sweaters and lay them out to dry.  Only about 12 more to go after this.  Brush and fold the three sweaters that are already dry and put them away for the summer.  I think and hope I won’t be needing any more wool sweaters this spring.  Finally!
  2. Figure out if the tiny baby bunny in my backyard is okay or needs help. According to the internet, if its eyes are open and it’s around 5 inches long or bigger, it should be okay.  Hard to tell if it’s 5 inches or not since it freezes and hunches up like bunnies do whenever a human gets near.  Cute, right?  I’m going to assume it’s okay and leave it alone and hope it doesn’t become hawk fodder.
  3. Take Purl to the vet for her vaccinations.  (Jack had his last week.)
  4. Try to find something to keep me busy.  I’ve finished all my projects.  I have nothing on needles.  It feels weird.

The reason I’m not starting anything is that I have some new yarns coming on Wednesday and I have a sweater in mind for one of those yarns so I don’t want to start anything else.

However, I did finish my Sunshine Coast and love it to pieces.

I wore it the other day and it felt like I’d had it for years – comfortable, no-fuss, just right.  I want another but I’ll have to see if there’s a way to fit it in this summer.

And of course you’ve seen the new classes? Lots of beautiful little projects to keep you busy and engaged all summer long!  In June we’re doing our delightful Devana Pulse Warmers, beautiful little be-jeweled cuffs:

and Deb is doing her Stitch Sampler Hand Warmers,

a great first project to get people familiar with changing stitch patterns, reading a knitting pattern, and sewing a fine seam.  A quick and very satisfying project!

Check out all the great classes here!

A reminder for those who don’t read emails anymore:  The store will be closed from Saturday, June 16 through Tuesday June 26, so I can have a week off.  Classes scheduled during that week will be held. Please plan accordingly!
