We received this yummy box of fun from Manos del Uruguay on Friday. Loads of new colors of Alegria, their 75 wool/25 nylon fingering-weight blend, which is soft, strong and suitable for socks and lovely for shawls, cowls, and many other projects. We had fun putting some combos together, of course:
and didn’t even have time to find shelf space before people were digging in the carton, putting their own colors together and walking out with their favorites. There are still beautiful matches to be made!
Meanwhile, I finished my Blissful leaf shawl. It’s big and cozy and light as a feather in Lang Nova, a chainette made of merino, baby camel and nylon:
And now I’ve started Joji Locatelli’s Beachgrass socks, using PacaPeds sock yarn.
I’m keeping myself busy until spring yarns come in, and at the same time, avoiding working on the new class schedule. That’s my version of multitasking!
