The Doldrums

Waiting for new yarn.  Waiting for new designs.  Waiting, waiting, waiting.  Trying to be good and finish up all projects so I’m ready for…New yarn.  New designs.

Finished my Manos afghan.  Love it to death.  You can’t believe how soft the wool becomes once it’s washed. Colors are much more beautiful than in this picture, which I took in late afternoon with my phone and cannot get rid of the yellow/green cast.

Finished this pretty, soft and easy-to-make shawl in Fibre Company’s Acadia, called Quaking Aspen, a free pattern on Kelbourne Woolens’ website:

Finished this pretty top called Gretel from Cocoknits in Claudia Handpainted Linen Laceweight.  Drape neck, handkerchief hem.  I see it adding color and grace to a simple summer tee or tank, even on the very hottest day:

Pretty linen colors:

Finished something else, too, but it turned out ugly so I’ll spare you!

I’m in the doldrums, but Deb Schlarb is still having fun.  Her jester tea cozy

inspired this hat for her son:

Deb makes her own fun and inspires me to imagine what could be!

See you soon…
